Does Your Pet "Freak-Out" on The 4th of July?

Does 4th of July week turn your ordinarily happy-go-lucky pet into a cowering, shaking bundle of nerves?

Every year, 4th of July fireworks turn hundreds of cats and  dogs in this country into shivering shadows of their former selves.  And, if the fireworks were only limited to one day, they could probably endure it, but with early-bird celebrations going on in most neighborhoods for a week or two in advance, and for another week after the holiday, is it any wonder that dozens of pets take off, hoping to find some peace at another location.

Several years ago, our cat would go absolutely wild at the first sound of a firecracker every year.  If we went to bed, she would dive in between us and lay shaking and trembling even long after the fireworks had ended for the night.  The cat we have now couldn't care less.  She hardly twitches an ear no matter how loud the fireworks get.

If you have a nervous dog or cat, take a look at these sharp-looking fellows.

Each of them is wearing what is known as  a "Thundershirt."

Thundershirts are designed to put pressure on an animal's abdominal muscles in a way that helps them relax and overcome stress.  Many pet owners rave about the difference the Thundershirt has made in their cat or dog's behavior since they started wearing their Thundershirt during noisy times of  the year.

Click on any of the pictures above to find out more about this wonderful invention that can make a real difference in how your pet reacts to the upcoming holiday.  Then order one today to give your pet some time to get used to wearing his or her smart-looking new coat before the big day arrives.
