Silk Flowers for Every Occasion

I love silk flowers. Probably because I can't seem to grow any real ones for myself, but even if I could, silk flowers don't wilt and die like real ones do so that is a real plus in my book.

I have a number of silk flower bouqets that I rotate in my living room according to season and it always looks like I have just made a recent trip to the florist. When I tire of one arrangement, I cover it with a plastic bag to keep it free from dust and store it in a spare closet, only to bring it out again months later to be enjoyed all over again.

All of the flowers for my daughter's wedding were done using silk flowers and now, 20years later, they still look like they did on her wedding day. Although she didn't have flowers on her veil, the other day I ran across a cute bridal flower to be worn in the bride's hair that I wish I had thought of. The best thing about using silk flowers as opposed to fresh is that they keep forever. Even during the wedding, the bride doesn't have to worry about crushing her bouquet, or breaking off some petals.

If you have a special occasion, perhaps even a wedding of your own coming up soon, take a look at silk flowers and see if you might want to go in that direction. I think they are a win-win choice.
