Is There a Gospel Concert Heading Your Way?

The other day my husband and I were talking about how much we missed the big revival meetings that used to visit our town at least once or twice every summer. Is it because America is drifting away from God, we wondered, or was it more likely that the groups who used to visit have found television a more practical and efficienct way to spread the gospel? Maybe it was a little of both.

Anyway, I recently ran across a link for http://www.ticketamerica.com/ I had ordered some tickets from this company once before, as a gift for a grandson and, at that time, I thought it was mainly an outlet for sports tickets.

This advertisement listed not only sports, but concerts so, just for fun, I checked to see if they were offering any gospel concerts, and was surprised to find one of my favorite groups, The Gaithers, listed, and even more surprised to find that they were playing in Portland, Oregon, a mere 100 miles from my home. I had driven that far several times in the past to attend a revival meeting. (I quickly added http://www.ticketamerica.com/ to my e-mail address book for future use. )

The tickets to hear the Gaithers are selling for $89 to $140, depending on what seats you chose, but since the concert doesn't take place until October 15th I'll have plenty of time to set aside money for it. Even better, October 15th is just two weeks after my birthday so I might tell my husband that a quick visit to http://www.ticketamerica.com/ will save him a lot of hassle when he starts trying to figure out what to get me for a birthday gift.

If you, like me, have been missing the old time revivals and gospel concerts, and think an evening spent listening to the Gaithers live, why not check out http://www.ticketamerica.com/
to see if they are planning an appearance sometime soon at a place near you.
