The Funniest Show Ever?

Whenever I get a bowl of soup with my meal at a restaurant, I think about Seinfeld and the "Soup Nazi." That was one of his funniest shows ever, but I agree with Hal Potter, our guest poster for today, that different people find different things to laugh about in Seinfeld. But most of them do laugh!

Thanks for the post from Hal Potter

One of the funniest shows ever to hit the air was Seinfeld. Believe it or not, I was not a fan of Seinfeld when it first came out. I think it's because I was in high school at the time and had a rebellious attitude. Being that everyone liked the show so much, I chose not to like it. To my credit, even when I tried to watch it, I couldn't really grasp the humor.

Now that I'm older and wiser, I appreciate the humor much more. Looking back on it, it's kind of good that it all worked out this way. This is because I now have my own family and we sit and watch it every weeknight on satellite tv Oregon. The best part about Seinfeld, and what makes it so different from many other shows, is that we all laugh at different jokes. What we find humorous will depend on our personality - and age. I'm not sure if Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld wrote it this way on purpose or that we just react that way. Regardless, we're all greatly appreciative of Seinfeld. It offers us a way to relax and unwind after a stressful day.

Most people used to think Kramer was the funniest character, but in recent years it seems as though most people now appreciate George a lot more. I'm happy about this, considering Kramer's humor is more on the surface and George's humor is more intelligent.
