Not long ago, I wrote a post about my experience with the Dog Bark Silencer Pro. I can't tell you how many people I have recommended this marvelous little gimmick to. It really does work!
After months of dealing with nearly non-stop barking dogs, my husband and I had installed this neat little tool, and, because it worked so well, all the dogs around us hardly ever barked anymore unless they had a good reason so we disconnected it and stored it in the garage when the rainy weather set in last fall.
So far, this spring, not a single bark had disturbed the peace of our neighborhood until a couple of days ago when I heard the yip-yip-yipping of a puppy and found that a dog I had never seen before was in our fenced back yard, and was making enough noise for a whole herd of them. The dog had dug a hole under the fence to gain entrance, and was frantically searching for it so he could make his exit. Every now and then, he threw himself violently against the fence in an attempt to knock it down or climb over it, but nothing seemed to work.
My husband, rather than risking scaring the dog even more, visited several neighbors, hoping to find the owner and ask if they would come and retrieve the dog from our back yard.
While he was gone, I watched from the balcony until the dog finally found the hole he had dug to make his entrance. Either the hole had shrunk or the flailing around of the dog made it seem that way, and he wiggled and squirmed, backed off barking, wiggled and squirmed and barked some more until he finally squeezed through the opening, sped across our next-door neighbor's yard, and into a bunch of trees that hid him from sight.
By then, my husband had returned without finding anyone to claim the dog and spent the next half hour filling the hole under the fence and trying to straighten up the plants that hand been broken and knocked down by the frightened dog.
The next morning, somewhere in the distance, we heard the barking of a new dog in the neighborhood. I recognized his voice, immediately, having already heard it a number of times as he struggled to get out of our backyard the day before.
"Time to re-install the Dog Bark Silencer Pro," I told my husband. He laughed and said he had already put it on his "to do" list for the day. He just loves training the neighborhood dogs not to bark.
***We ordered our Dog Bark Silencer Pro online and it arrived in only 2 days. It was $99.95 plus shipping, and worth every penny. They also have a cheaper model, but the one we bought came with an extension cord which is useful if the dogs you are trying to train are some distance from where you have to mount your Dog Bark Silencer Pro.
I can’t say enough good things about the Dog Silencer Pro. If you have a similar problem with a neighbor’s dog, or even your own, check it out HERE .
