New Kid in Town

I can really sympathize with my guest poster today. We moved 13 times in the first 10years my husband and I were married. Our last move was just about the last straw for me as I was sick of packing, moving, unpacking, and then moving again. But, strangely, this last move was the best one of all. It turned out to be a wonderful place to live and we made lasting friends, found wonderful schools for our kids, and a great church to attend. Guess what--we've been here 35 years now, so don't despair if you are facing yet another move in your life. It may turn out better than you can imagine.

Being new in town is a weird feeling and one I haven’t really had to go through since the summer in sixth grade when my dad took a new job and moved us across the country. When my husband had us come here to Texas I was worried about fitting in but I guess I shouldn’t have because after a while everything turned out fine. It was tough at first to connect with other moms in the area but when I joined the book club everything changed and I met some of my best friends. Shelly told me about SHOPelectricityratestexas.com for my electricity and Kathy and I go shopping together at least once a week so it’s definitely made me less lonely and more excited about being in a new place. I think we’re all really going to like it here and I’m actually glad for the change of pace since things in Oklahoma were starting to get old anyway. I love my family and would follow them anywhere but I’m glad we ended up here!
