Anytime I see DIY in front of a project, I'm halfway hooked already. I can't tell you how many thousands (well, hundreds anyway) of projects I have tackled over the years. And since booklets of any kind are one of my favorite DIY projects, I was especially interested in Susan Hodge's sketchbook ideas. Particularly the one on how to emboss your sketchbook papaer.
If you like the idea of turning all those pieces of paper left over from other projects into a unique sketchbook of your own, check out her site in the guest post below.

I love to carry around a sketchbook with me everywhere. I'll pull it out when I'm sitting in a coffee shop and relaxing or just at home when I'm sitting on my front porch. But I also go through a lot of them and I get a little bit of green guilt out of it. I've started buying sketchbooks made out of recycled materials but I thought I could do a little better than that. I decided to try to make my own sketchbooks out of stuff that I would recycle anyway.
Even though I draw a lot, I don't do many crafts. When I was looking for some help with that online I ran across the website http://www.wirelessinternet.net/ and after I looked through it a little bit, I decided to sign up for one of the internet packages I found on there.
It took me a while to put together my cute DIY sketchbook, but most of that time was just making sure that I had enough paper for it and it was all lined up right before I actually bound the sketchbook together. But after I went to all that trouble, I got compliments on it the first time that I took it out in public.
