Spider Man at the Door?

I remember opening my door a couple of years ago, on Halloween night, to a little three-foot high Spider Man who yelled, "Tricker-treat, Grandma," in a high, very unSpider-like voice. He was pretty cute, but I can't say he would have been much help in a real fight.

Although I'm not an avid fan of the real Spider Man, my guest poster for today definitely is.

Spider-Man has all the Right Stuff for a True Hero

Guest post from: Kent Lara

Spider-Man is definitely among the best superheroes ever, and he's always been my favorite. I like that he's basically just a regular guy with a lot of responsibility on his shoulders because of his powers. Spider-Man has some very cool abilities too. In the comics, he uses mechanical web slingers to swing around the city, and in the movie they made his webs into a biological capability. He also has super strength and he can sense things that are about to happen. He uses his superior senses to avoid danger.

Spider-Man is also a very noble superhero. He's doesn't allow himself to indulge in vengeance or any other petty behavior. A lot of superheroes t hese days have a tendency to sometimes do violent things unnecessarily. Spider-Man is always trying to avoid hurting anybody, and that is one of his best qualities.

I spend a lot of time with my family watching Spider-Man on direct tv miami. They show the movies very frequently on many of the major pay channels, and there are also a few animated TV shows that can be very entertaining. I tend to enjoy Spider-Man in just about any context. The comics are fun, but I'm not a comic purist.
