You never know what you'll find when you visit someone's Facebook account these days.
A young man I know recently broke up with his girlfriend and suddenly started making alarming posts to his account. So alarming, in fact, that I was wondering whether or not I should contact a hotline of some kind or at least his parents to save him from possible suicide.
Posts like, "Just gonna stand there and watch me burn, but that's alright because I like the way it hurts." " When you're gone the pieces of my heart are missing you, I miss you... :( " and "If I drown tonight, bring me back to life breathe your breath in me, the only thing I still believe in is you. If you only knew..."
I felt kind of silly later when I found out these were not his original thoughts, but words from popular songs. Shows how out of touch I am with popular youth culture. Still, the words were, I suspect, expressing how he was feeling so maybe he was in a pretty dangerous frame of mind.
How about you? Has your relationship caved in? That same relationship you were positive was going to last forever?
Don't give up yet. If that relationship is still important to you, it can be saved--even if the other party is the one who has decided to move on.
