Have You Visited Shopwiki.com Yet?

“Why not try shopwiki.com?” my husband asked? Of course! Why hadn’t I thought of that? I went to the computer and, sure enough, I found a bunch of stores listed the camcorder we had been looking for. (Photo by Nebrot)

You would think that someone like me, who blogs about Shopwiki every few months, would have looked there first, but, for some reason, I didn’t. I’ll just blame it on one of those “senior moments” everyone talks about

What we were looking for was a new camcorder, but it had been so many years since we had shopped for one, we were completely out of touch with new models on the market.

That’s where http://www.shopwiki.com/wiki/Home+Theater came in. Not only did they display an impressive list of different camcorders and where to purchase them, but they also provided a quickie course in camcorder education.

From this short guide, I learned a bit about how camcorders work, some of the terminology connected with them, and things to avoid as well as the good features to look for when purchasing a new one.

One of my favorite things about http://www.shopwiki.com/wiki/Home+Theater as well as the rest of the Shopwiki.com website is that when you click on one of their listed items, you are rewarded with a page that tells you a bit about the product and lists a number of stores where you can order that product, including the current price each one is asking for it. This makes it really easy to compare one store’s price with another, and gives you a clickable link to whichever store you decide to order from. The sources listed run from Amazon.com to Home Depot with hundreds of others in between.

Shopping online is quickly becoming my favorite way of making a new purchase. Why should I waste gas money and energy running to every store in town to compare prices in order to save a few dollars when I can go to a place like http://www.shopwiki.com/ and find anything I want, even craft supplies, a new purse, or extra diapers for when the grandkids visit. And, not only find them, but, in just a few minutes, compare prices between a number of well-know stores, place my order, and sit back with a good book while my order makes its way to my front door.

Now, that is what I call, “The good life.” Why not try it yourself?
